UGA Cooperative Extension faculty within the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences develop educational programs and produce publications for agricultural agents, farmers and the general public. This practical, science-based information is used across the state, nation and world.
Each year, our Extension faculty answer thousands of phone calls and make numerous on-site visits relating to a myriad of production agriculture, turfgrass and environmental problems. Technical assistance is also extended to agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
Extension faculty are located on the Athens, Tifton and Griffin campuses and work, along with research faculty, through interdisciplinary teams to offer complete information on Georgia commodities and all aspects of crop production.
