Mohammad Mehralian

About
Mohammad is a doctoral student in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia (UGA), where he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Crop and Soil Sciences with a focus on Cotton Physiology. He earned his Master of Science in Horticulture, specializing in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, from Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) in 2021. His thesis research explored the impact of exogenous melatonin on Dracocephalum kotschyi under drought stress. Mohammad received his Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) in 2018, where he focused on vegetable production and greenhouse management.
Research Interests
Mohammad's research interests span a wide range of agricultural practices, with a particular emphasis on stress physiology and enhancing crop resilience. His primary areas of focus include plant-pathogen interactions, disease management, and advanced crop management strategies.
Current Projects
In the fields of cotton virology and physiology, Mohammad is investigating physiological pathways that can help virus-infected cotton plants mitigate infection and recover more effectively.
