Where are you from, and why did you choose to study at UGA/CAES?
I am from Leesburg, Georgia. I decided to study at UGA CAES to get the hands-on education the Tifton campus has to offer.
What is your major/degree program, and what department?
I am majoring in Crop and Soil Sciences with an emphasis in Weed Science. I am in the crop and soil sciences department under Dr. Camp Hand.
Why did you choose your major?I obtained a BS degree in crop and soil sciences at ABAC and enjoyed it.

What is your favorite class you have taken?
Pesticides and Transgenic Crops has been my favorite class so far. It was challenging, but we learned so much.

What has been the best experience you've had so far at the college?
Watching my studies mature and being a part of each part of the research.
What do you want to do with what you have learned here?
Apply it in the agriculture industry.
How has your experience at UGA changed you?
It has allowed me to narrow down my passion and strive to be the best I can.
Thinking of the word agriculture - what does agriculture mean to you? In what ways does agriculture impact your life and your culture?
To me, agriculture is clothing and feeding the world. Without agriculture, we would literally have nothing. Agriculture is everywhere around me, and I want to make a difference in agriculture overall.
What do you like to do outside of class — hobbies, interests, secret talents?
Outside of class, I love to hunt, fish, and have river days!
